Koltira Deathweaver – Follower

Okay, so, I promised some back story for this transmog, and trust me when I say you’re about to learn of some levels of nerd not many realize I posses.

Back in early Warlords my guild leader and I got bored and were talking about RP things we used to do, mine was CyberChat, a text based forum where you could RP with others. At one point it was so popular there was a queue to get in and the rooms were always full. Anyway, we decided, as novice RPers, to go off to Moon Guard (I have a friend on that realm who gave us bags and gold) and start our own little story. My character’s backstory involved Koltira Deathweaver, it was a Warcraft lore adaptation to one of the Pixie stories briefly discussed in my soon to be re-released novel The Worst Dyrkon, the story is also in line to be written out in full one of these days. I played a warrior named Alisbeth, and had planned a Blood Knight transmog.

Alisbeth was a paladin and a defender of Quel’Thalas alongside Koltira. She loved him. When he fell to the scourge, she was devastated. After discovering he’d been resurrected to serve the Lich King, she was heartbroken, but remained devoted to him. Once he was freed from the Lich King’s sway at the battle for Light’s Heart Chapel, she returned to his side. In Andorhal, Alisbeth was there when Koltira was pulled through the portal to Undercity. She hated Sylvanas for it (which was tough for me to play out, as I did like the Dark Lady, at least prior to Stormheim, now she’s kind of being awful). Alisbeth renounced the Light in her quest for vengeance (hence why she was a warrior).

That character never got far, but I love the name Alisbeth. I reused it for my Death Knight. When I discovered we rescue Koltira and he becomes a bodyguard, I got so excited and RP’d the whole thing in my head during the scenario. In light of this, I’ve added to the story of Alisbeth, so it is now the same ‘person’.

Alisbeth donned the armor of Koltira as a symbol of defiance against Sylvanas. She pledged her life to the Ebon Blade, should she fall in battle. When she was resurrected as a Death Knight she joined forces with Thassarian to free Koltira so they may be together again.

So now, here is Alisbeth with her love, Koltira Deathweaver.

I changed her hair for the purpose of making her a proper likeness to him (her original hair can be seen in the Frosty Death Knight transmog I posted a while back). The sword he uses and the sword she is using are slightly different in color. His is from Sunwell Plateau and refuses to drop for any of my characters. Hers is the red variant from BC PVP (listed as an alternative below). They are both Blood Death Knights–coincidence only! I just love the way Blood plays this expansion, don’t you?
